We used Proudy Tours for our trip and Kosala was our driver. From the meeting at the airport at 3am with garlands to getting us to our sometimes very remote lodgings, Kosala was always very trustworthy and knowledgeable. He speaks very good English and believe me, that's a luxury in Sri Lanka. Most guides we heard had an abysmal level of English and could not be understood. Kosala was always clear and concise in his explanations. His driving was very comfortable, our girls often falling asleep during a drive. He even had a baby seat for children even though it is not mandatory in Sri Lanka. Even though he is normally solely a driver, he accompanied us on a few hikes like Pidurangala and Ritigala because he deemed it necessary to help us with the children. The children actually grew quite attached to him and even gave him a nickname. Kosala is very amenable to your needs. If you have a preference of a restaurant, hotel, excursion, he will take you there, even if it was not previously planned.
